GROUP ORDERS (e.g. bridesmaid dresses in the same color):
To ensure consistency in color for group orders, such as bridesmaid dresses, please avoid placing separate individual orders. Fabrics from our supplier may occasionally vary slightly in shade.

HOW THE MADE-TO-MEASURE PROCESS WORKS
We start off by meeting with the client and having a consultation where we discuss the style and fabric. All dresses are made to measure. We draw up a sketch to finalise the idea. After that we send out a quotation and a 60% deposit is needed for the process to continue. Fittings consist of 2-3 mock fittings and then 2-3 final fittings.
The remaining amount must be paid before collection. The process of making a dress depends on availability and type of dress.
The first consultation costs R250.
Please feel free to send us some of your ideas for an estimate quotation.
QUOTATIONS
Kindly send us a picture of the garment you have in mind and due date.
We will send you a price estimate and confirm our availability as soon as possible.
Look forward to hearing from you!

How Far in Advance Should I Start the Custom Wedding Dress Process?
At Ponki’s, we understand that your wedding dress is one of the most important garments you'll ever wear, and we take great pride in creating a gown that reflects your unique style and vision. To ensure we deliver a dress that is perfect in every way, we recommend booking your spot well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Flexible Timeline
The actual process varies depending on each bride's unique situation. While starting early is always beneficial, we do not have a set timeframe for when you must book your custom wedding dress. We tailor our services to meet your needs and timelines as best we can.
Why Start Early?
1. Design Consultation and Inspiration: The journey begins with a design consultation where we discuss your ideas, preferences, and inspirations. This phase is crucial for understanding your vision and translating it into a beautiful custom design.
2. Fabric Selection and Sourcing: Selecting and sourcing the perfect fabrics and materials can take time, especially for unique or rare textiles. We want to ensure that we have ample time to find exactly what you're looking for.
3. Pattern Making and Initial Fittings: Creating a custom pattern tailored to your measurements is a meticulous process. The initial fittings are essential to ensure the dress fits perfectly and allows for adjustments early on.
4. Sewing and Detailed Work: Crafting a wedding dress involves intricate sewing and detailing, from hand-stitched embellishments to precise seams. This phase requires careful attention to detail and time to perfect each element.
5. Final Fittings and Adjustments: As your wedding day approaches, final fittings are scheduled to make any necessary adjustments and ensure the dress fits like a dream. This step ensures that everything is perfect for your special day.
Tight Timelines
If your wedding date is approaching quickly, please don't hesitate to contact us. We understand that timelines can be tight, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. While a shorter timeline may limit some customisation options, we are committed to creating a beautiful dress for you.
We look forward to being part of your special day and creating a dress that you'll cherish forever.
How the custom orders work:
1. Initial Consultation
The journey begins with an initial consultation where we discuss your ideas, preferences, and inspirations. This meeting allows us to understand your vision and gather the necessary details to start designing your dream dress.
2. Design and Fabric Selection
Based on our consultation, we create design sketches and help you choose the perfect fabrics and materials. We source high-quality textiles that match your vision and style.
3. Pattern Making and Measurements
We take precise measurements to create a custom pattern tailored to your body. This step ensures a perfect fit and lays the foundation for the dress construction.
4. Initial Fittings
During the initial fittings, we present the first version of your dress. This stage allows us to make necessary adjustments to the fit and design. Your feedback is crucial to refine the dress to your satisfaction.
5. Sewing and Detailed Work
With the pattern finalized and adjustments made, we proceed to the intricate sewing and detailing phase. This includes hand-stitched embellishments, lacework, and other fine details that make your dress unique.
6. Mid-Process Fitting
A mid-process fitting, typically around the third fitting, is scheduled to ensure the dress is progressing as planned. We make further adjustments as needed to guarantee a perfect fit.
7. Final Fittings and Adjustments
As your wedding day approaches, we conduct final fittings to make any last-minute adjustments. This step ensures that your dress fits flawlessly and meets all your expectations.
8. Dress Completion and Pick-Up
Once the final adjustments are made, your dress is ready for pick-up. We ensure that every detail is perfect before you take your gown home.
Payment Options
At Ponki’s, we offer flexible payment options to suit your needs. Choose the plan that works best for you:
